Some people in my class belittle artists who cover songs. I am having a hard time thinking why some people consider covers as plagiarism? I mean, aren't songs meant to be sung? What is the point of writing songs when you do not even want others to sing it? For me, doing covers is actually quite flattering. I think that when people cover one of my songs, it means that they truly admire my work and that they want to add something to it.
